Frequently asked questions

How do I make a reservation?

You don't have to make a reservation in advance .We are 5 professional pilots and generally always have places available. Just give us a call the day before, or any time after 08.00 am on the day you wish to fly. As our office is mostly unattended the best way to contact us is always by telephone on : 0041 27 967 67 44.

Do I need any previous experience?

Absolutely no experience is required to do a tandem flight. Before the take-off the pilot will give you some simple instructions concerning the take-off and landing.

Where do we meet ?

We can pick you up at your hotel, the tourist office or directly at the lift station (Sunnegga Express or the Gornergrat train). In summer we can also arrange to meet directly at the agreed take-off site. The main meeting point in winter is at the snowbar at the Rothorn peak.

Are there any age or weight restrictions?

Nobody is too old or too young to fly. We have taken passengers between the ages of 2 ½ to 94 years old. The weight range is from 20 kg to 120kg. ( 40 to 250 pounds )

Do I need any special equipment?

A pair of good shoes or boots and warm clothes are all you need to get airborne. We can provide overalls and boots free of charge. Bring your half-price card or Swiss-pass to obtain a discount on your lift ticket, and don't forget your photo or video camera.

What weather and wind conditions are required?

Paragliding is extremely weather dependent, we can't fly with strong winds, fog and rain. Don't be put off by clouds in the morning - some of our best flights are over and around the clouds.

How much time do I need to do a flight?

Depending on the height of the chosen take-off you'll need between 1 and 2 hours for the whole experience.

How safe is it?

We've been paragliding in Zermatt since 1986, and are specialists in high alpine tandem flights. Each pilot has their own 3rd party insurance. We fly only the latest certified and tested equipment. Paragliding in Switzerland is strictly controlled by the Swiss Hangliding Association (SHV) and the Swiss Civil Aviation Authority (BAZL).
